It seems that the relationship between teachers and students is an unquestioned problem in the history of education. The old saying "He who is a teacher for a daytime is the father for a lifetime" has been inherited by people for thousand of years, so it is undoubted to respect teachers and value education. Because of this, teachers are naturally become "the educational performers" and, students also assumed that they are "the educational receiver". But, with the distortion and expansion of "student-centered theory", the burgeoning discipline-foreign Chinese teaching has been deeply affected. It becomes a very important criterion that students mark and value their teachers and has worsened the twisted relationship between teachers and students. Therefore, in the new situation, it’s imperative to study the relationship between teachers and students seriously, rethink the former teaching thus change the current educational situation and improve the teaching quality. Now, the researches about teacher-student relationship mostly concentrate on the basic education, in contrast, there are fewer researches on the field of teaching Chinese as a second or foreign language. In the following text, I will make the paper "The Discussion on the Relationship between Teachers and Students", which has been common published by my tutor and me when I was a fresh graduate student as the basis, deeply study the effects of the teacher-student relationship on teaching Chinese as a second or foreign language, apply the humanistic educational philosophy to the establishment of teacher-student relationship in teaching Chinese as a second or foreign language. Suppose teacher-student relationship plays an important role in the field of teaching Chinese as a second or foreign language, by means of collecting documents and interviews, case analysis in teaching and questionnaires, further illustrate the impacts of teacher-student relationship in teaching Chinese as a second or foreign language and explore an effective way to perfecting the teacher-student relationship.
