Erhu is a carrier of music full of conventional and national elements, one of the most typical Chinese national instruments and a great representative of bowstring type instrument. Many erhu masterpieces come down to us today enjoy long history and spread their names around the world. With the increasing advancement of our economic level and life standard, the pursuit of art culture has also been greatly improved since the founding of New China. Erhu as an elegant style of art, has been appreciated by more and more people and gradually integrated itself into people`s ordinary life.With The Promotion of Chinese Music Movement started by the great master Liu Tianhua the teaching of erhu has become much more systematic and standardized,which in a result brought up with many excellent erhu performers and educationists for our country. However, as the number of erhu learners is bigger and bigger,problems existed in erhu teaching field is also increasing with the time, thus to find a solution to these problems has become a big task need to be deeply studied for erhu educationists. Children is the student group the author mostly involved with, to this age group of students enlightenment teaching is the key of their education.This paper mainly illustrated from three aspects on children erhu enlightenment teaching study. The first chapter is the introduction part. The second chapter is a brief analysis to the importance and situation of erhu education for children today. The third chapter mainly illustrated several key points in erhu enlightenment teaching( including basic performing posture, performing method, ability to read music,cultivation of music sense etc.). The fourth chapter offered several advices to erhu enlightenment teaching which is the key chapter of this paper. In this chapter the author not only brought in new teaching methods on the basis of breakthrough of traditional teaching but also attempted to put several new teaching methods which dominant in the world nowadays into teaching practice of erhu education.The conclusion of this paper is significant to the study of relevant subjects,however, with insufficient experience and limited time there is still a lot to improve.The author sincerely expects this paper could attract the attention of erhu educators and make its own contribution to erhu education career.
