Introduction To The Chinese - English Translation Of Chinese Film Films (excerpts)

The study on the theory of cinema plays an important role in guiding the industrial upgrading of the film industry for our country. The introduction of Chinese Language Blockbuster: Creation, Marketing and Culture written by professor Xuguang Chen is translated to promote the academic exchange in film theory studies at home and abroad. The translation skills on how to translate the filmology vocabularies and demonstrating sentences in light of demonstrating methods in thesis writing are explored intensively in this paper to provide a sample for the translation of similar papers or monographs. Filmology works are informative and expressive texts which is characterized by strong professional and confusable filmology vocabularies and ubiquitous demonstrating sentences. Understanding the meaning of these vocabularies and expressing the core information of demonstrating sentences accurately is the key to translation. Based on these questions, proper translation skills with case analyses are summarized to make my own contribution to the translation and research of these texts.
