On The Development Of Urban Community Service In The Transitional Period

As the product of industrialization, modernization and social division of labor specialization, the emergence and development of urban community service is closely related with people’s daily life. The urban community service in China has made great achievements since1980s, and played an important role in improving the quality of residents’ life and promoting the development of community building.However, with the reform of economic system, political system and social system, as well as the accelerating of the social transformation, urbanization process and aging population, how to promote the development of our urban community service has become a new proposition.Starting with the origin and development of the urban community service, the author analyses the preliminary achievements, existing problems and causes in the perspective of social transformation based on the example of Nanjing C community. What’s more, the author, according to the real situation of our nation, also gives advices on perfecting the development of urban community service in China by referencing the successful experience of western community service and the new tendency of the urban community service under the background of informatization.
