After the end of the Cold War in Asia and the international order two changes:First, due to the economic crisis, in particular the impact of the international financial crisis, the relative decline of traditional United States and Japanese forces; With the rapid growth of Asian economies, emerging powers China and India have been rising. China and India are major powers in Asia, the two largest developing countries, one-third of the world’s population, while the rise of Asia have a significant and far-reaching implications, is also significant in the history of the development of human civilization.Asian countries, the South Korean government and academia have been aware of China and India rising in Asia and the world an important position. Especially after the world financial crisis in2008, the Western developed countries have been hit, but China and India broke the trend, the economy still maintain a rapid growth rate, an important engine of the first to emerge from the crisis and global economic growth in Asia. Same Asia, South Korea, the rise of China and India in the areas of political, economic, diplomatic and security on the Korean varying degrees of impact. This means that under the background of the rise in India and at the same time, South Korea is facing new opportunities and challenges. Overall, however, which contain opportunities far outweigh the challengesIn view of the above, the rise of China and India is generally in line with the national interests of the Republic of Korea. But how to resolve the challenges, seize opportunities, and is an important issue facing Korea. From the perspective of Korea, take full advantage of the trend in the simultaneous rise of China and India, as soon as possible to develop specific medium-term and long-term planning, to further strengthen the cooperative relationship with China and India, in order to ensure that South Korea and the Sino-Indian economic and trade cooperation between the two countries development, to secure their support of South Korea’s position on the Korean Peninsula issue, and to enhance the international status of South Korea in Asia and the world.
