An Analysis Of The Relationship Between The Korean Nuclear Issue And The Maintenance Of China 's Core Interests

To be one of the countries in Northeast Asia and the neighbor of the Korean Peninsula,China has special relationship with the peninsula, which is called as a Chinese idiom--one oftwo interdependent things falls, the other is in danger. For a long time, this peninsula is tobe the buffer zone in strategy and strategic protective screen for China’s safety. This is thefact for the Northeast Asia as well as the whole Eurasia and the historical result evolvedthrough thousands of years. Nowadays the situation of Korean Peninsula changes constantlylike cloud and wave. How will China ensure its profit targets? How will China choosemethods and tactics to maintain its profits? How will China assess and cognize strategicefficiency and hold the evolvement trends on the peninsula policies? These are what will bediscussed in depth in this dissertation. The principal line of this dissertation is based on theflow path of diplomatic policy research. The author attempt elaborated the targets,principles, missions, methods, steps and measures of China’s peninsula policies in the21Century. He designed the structure in accordance with the policy backgrounds, targets,contents, implementation and estimation modes and combining with the policy requests ofChina’s peaceful development.
