Improve On The DDN Network Management System Using SNMP Agent

Rapidly develops along with the computer and the correspondence technology,the network scale expands and the equipments of network complexes day by day. How to manage network efficiently, the question at present that cause its movement to be more effective, more reliable and safer is urgent needs to solve. Since last century at the end of 80's, SNMP (simple networks management protocol)has appeared on the market, the network management technology obtains progresses by leaps and bounds. Unceasingly along with strengthening the management function and expanding the management object,the network management technology is gradually becoming the important factor that may not or lacks of the network construction contracts and maintenance.SNMP although is by no means stated into the international network management standard agreement, but because it is simple and practical, at present, many networks equipment suppliers will support SNMP melt into in the new product design, SNMP has already became the industry standard in fact. At the same time, many equipments that were produced before the standardized network management protocol still massively exists in the telecommunication network now. This part of network equipments have the appropriation OAM interface, the private agreement, they doesn't support the TCP/IP agreement or the standard net tube agreement, therefore the network superintendent still completes to monitor these equipments through the low speed serial channel, which is very difficult to realize its standardized network managements. To solve this problem and realize the timely design system, has the important model significance for researching the fusion among the current different equipment net tube system.In view of this, the paper was based on the mechanism of the SNMP Proxy Agent, proposed one improvement plan about the DDN original net tube system, in this foundation, completed the design and realization of insert-like SNMP Proxy Agent.
