Nowadays the Steel Circulation Industry (SCI) of China takes a rapid growth. China becomes the member of the WTO, the market of the SCI is more open than ever before, the overseas import and export enterprises is going to joining this competitive market. The number of domestic steel trader raise rapidly whiles the demands of the steel-depended enterprises diverse in all aspects. The competition of the SCI industrial also becomes more sever.Minmetals Steel Chengdu (MSC) Company established in 1995. In beginning, MSC is only a Small office, after 10 years development, it becomes the largest state-owned enterprise of Steel circulation industry in SW China. But how to maintain it's competitively and sustainable Profit is more and more important.This thesis utilizes the experimentation method and quotes a lot of relative material. It describe the relationship between Minmetals Chengdu and the headquarter. By analyzing the development of Minmetals Chengdu, the thesis gets the conclusion that the SCI is a booming industry facing a potential market. But it is also a new industry; it will face a lot of problems in this stage. The Minmetals Chengdu can't avoid facing these problems. The next part analyzes the market situation and the relationship between macro economy and the state regulation. Also analyze the market demands and the competitive situation etc. Get the conclusion that Minmetals Chengdu has the opportunity to develop. Using SWOT method analyzing the inner strength and weakness; also threaten and opportunities. The thesis also gets suggestions though three aspects: the purchasing, financing and sale. In the end of the thesis urge take the expanding strategy and get the detailed methods.
