MICE (meeting, incentive, convention, exhibition) , as a tourism item of high-profit, high-yield and high-correlation, has become increasingly important in the development of region and city economy. It also can shape the image of region and city, increase employment and so on. So many countries and cities in the world are paying close attention to it. MICE tourism, a newly emerging form of tourism, is being striking rapid development in cur country.Firstly, this article gives some basic knowledge about MICE, including the definitions, the types, the characteristics, the influences and the relations between MICE industry and tourism industry. Then the paper gives an introduction to the development of MICE home and abroad, especially points out the features and some of the most restraints existing in China now. Meanwhile, it gives a series of suggestions on how to develop MICE tourism in China successfully. What's more, it tells us the trend of MICE tourism. After that, with a SWOT analysis, the thesis analyzes the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for Wenjiang's MICE tourism development, it makes the position of MICE tourism in Wenjiang and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for solving the existing problems, such as improving Wenjiang's credit and famous, strengthening hardware and software construct establishment, building administrative organization, enhancing market-promotion etc. At last, taking "The 6th China Flower Exposition" for example, the writing brings forward the proposal project for that.
