The Green Trade Barriers And International Trade

The Green Trade Barrier(GTB) has become the major character of the International Trade Protectionism and attracted many countries' attention in recent years due to the ecomomic globalization and international trade development.Now China is facing severe impact of the GTB in many kinds of products esp.in the agriculture,textile,home electronic machines and toy products.How to break through GTB of other countries as well as how to use the GTB to promote international competitiveness of Chinese industry and agriculture is something that has great value.There are some successful researchers on GTB from specifical point of view nowdays,but in totally,these researchers are scattered and non-systematical.,so such a systematical research must be done to repair some limitations. The article is divided into six parts:the first part analyzed the arising of the Green Trade Barriers in international trade ,including the historical reason,contents,characters ,development trends and then expounding the point of this paper;the second part analyzed the relations and interactions between trade and environment; In the third part, economic analysis of the causes of GTB's construction is presented ; the fourth part analyzed the relations between WTO and GTB, studying the GTB questions under the framework of WTO;the fifth part researched the interactions in GTB and the international trade of China; and at last in the sixth part of the study,the policy advice towards overcoming the GTB was given through government,enterprise and social organization's angles.Based on above discussions,this paper disclosed the economic essence of GTB's arising, discussed the affection of the GTB to external trade of China,esp. about some major products,and studied why the Chinese firms cannot avoid of its influence. This paper gives some way to deal with the existing problems of GTB's effects on China.
