Project Organizational Management Research About Tetra Pak China LTD.

Project organization management (POM) is part of project human resource management (PHRM). POM effect others project function, the whole project management running is based on it. The design of project organization structure affects the project running grade. It is one of the key factors for realizing project aim.In this thesis, I study POM of Tetrapak according as the case of YiLi-Tipco 600T/D dairy plant project. Describing how this world famous food packaging companies uses its special organization structure to organize its customer (such as YiLI groups) and itself to cultivate market, share risk and get two-win. Studying the universality and specialty of Tetrapak current project organization management. Introducing some typical case which we met during this project running, analysis this kind of POM how to configured project time, cost, human resource and installation material and its key role for realization of project aim. Tetrapak has some special organization forms in its POM, such as account manager being involved, two-layout individual running principle and project team fictitiousness. So Tetrapak POM level is ahead of its competitor. But Tetrapak POM has some weakness, for example: information can't be shared among project leaders, cost overrun and bear some unnecessary project risk. I suggest improve the POM, establish project groups organization management system, share project information, co-ordinate the relationship of time and cost. Decrease the self-risk.
