Study On Jingdezhen Ceramic Industrial Cluster

Industrial cluster is a regional production and organization system, and its development and competition advantage can be affected by its environment, construction and elements. From the perspective of systemic science, a 3-dimensiom framework is established to analysis factors that effect the development of cluster.Every industrial cluster has its lifecycle and it can be divided into formative phase, growth phase, maturity phase and shakeout phase. In this paper, a estimating index system and a classify way about recession clusters are brought forward, and the relationship between recession cluster and its core industry and region economic development are analyzed.The recession of cluster maybe caused by the change of environment, and we call it exogenous causation. It also can be caused by characters of cluster itself, we call it endogenous causation.Jingdezhen ceramic industrial cluster has a long and resplendent history, there were many factors accounted for it. First, it had very high quality and abundant Gaolinite-the most important raw material of ceramic industry. Second, royalty members had great favoritism of Jingdezhen ceramic. Third, during the development, Jingdezhen established a production organization system of high specialization and collaboration. The last, it had kept a good contact with outside.Now, Jingdezhen ceramic industrial cluster is in its shakeout phase and it is a relative, partial and individual recession cluster. By the SWOT analysis, the advantage, disadvantage, opportunity and challenge of it are listed. Based on the results , some revival advice is put forward.
