With the increasing of population and development of urbanization, the land isreducing. How to make good use of the land, especially the urban land, is a problem tobe dealt with urgently.This paper ,which is based on the project——"Research on the evaluation of the landintensive utilization and city planning management in Tianjin city",studied and compared thecurrent theories on land utilization domestic and abroad. The particularity of the landintensive use has been generalized and according to this connotation the field survey ofthe project has been put in practice.This paper mainly discusses the problem,give thedefinition of urban land intensive utilization. And then through the building up differentevaluation index system and methods, the authors give the evaluation conclusion aboutthe urban intensive utilization.The author chose relative index and gave the weight offactors that embody the land economic effect, social effect and ecological effect.Based on the current situation analysis of the urban land utilization, the authorsummarizes the characteristic and existent main limitation of land utilization inTianjin.This paper analyses the main reasons of it.We must take comprehensivecountermeasures to meet the increasing demand of land for urban development in orderto promote the betterment of urban land utilization structure,raise the utilizationefficiency of urban land resources and fulfill sustainable development of urbanizationland protection audit system,investigation and analysis of present land situation forconstruction in urban and countryside , activation of stock land and controlcountermeasures of increasing cost for new land were proposed in this paper so as toinsure the demand of land utilization.
