Research On The Inventory Control Based On Reverse Logistics

Reverse logistics is a new research field in recent years. In the last few periods of the 20th century, with the enhancement of the sense of environmental protection and the putting forward of sustainable development consciousness, each country begins to pay attention to the reverse logistics. Compared with foreign research results, our researches are at the threshold of the field, and there are few articles about the reverse logistics. Besides, enterprises can enhance their competitiveness by implementation well developed supply chain management in confrontation of heating competitions and challenges. However, most domestic enterprises merely put their concentration on partial links of supply chain, specifically, forward logistics, with less or insufficient attention to reverse logistics. In view of this, this thesis proposes the concept of reverse logistics, analyzes the feasibility of reverse logistics strategy adopted by enterprises and elaborates on inventory control in reverse logistics strategy adopted by enterprises.The previous inventory modules basically take no consideration of factors such as goods rejection and products backflow. Under the client-oriented trend of today, goods rejection or products backflow is more often than not universal. Large amount of backflow goods have resulted in serious resources waste. In inventory module presented in this thesis, reverse logistics is introduced and a series of innovative inventory control modules with much more feasibility have been developed and verified. Therefore, the theory of inventory control has been enriched and meanwhile, application of traditional inventory control modules has been broadened and theoretical foundation has been provided to enterprises that implement inventory control in reverse logistics strategy.
