Research On The Inventory Control Concerning Reverse Logistics

Since the 20th century, the environment's getting worse and has been given more attention to. Many countries have given the laws to protect the environment which make the enterprises make the reverse logistics strategy. The west countries have realized the importance of the reverse logistics and paid attention to the related research about reverse logistics from the second half of the 90s. But the research on reverse logistics of our country is on the primary stage, the related research is hardly seen. Most of the domestic enterprises are also put more energies on forward logistics and less on reverse logistics. According to this situation, this article proposes reverse logistics concept at first and then concentrate on the inventory control of the product which is in the maturity stage of the life circle. The inventory control system is an important system of the logistics system and is an important field in the research of the logistics. The inventory cost is about 20%-40% of the value of one product, so it has a good economic meaning to take a research on the inventory control. To control the inventory to the optimal quantity is not only the purpose of the enterprises and the scholar but also very important to support the enterprise in the fierce competence.The inventory control based on reverse logistics is very important in the manufacture enterprise and the amount of the reverse product is big. But the former research on the inventory didn't concern the reverse logistics and can't accord to the fact. Based on the classic inventory control models, this article concerned the effect of the reverse logistics and treat it as a source of the inventory and developed some models more fit to the fact which make the classic inventory control models the specialist when the return rate is 0. It enriches the content of the theory of inventory control, widens the area which can use the inventory control models and provided scientific base to support the enterprise to make inventory decision based on reverse logistics strategy.
