Research On The Inventory Control Of Supply Chain Based On Reverse Logistics

With the enhancement of the awareness of environmental protection and the consciousness of sustainable development, each country begins to pay attention to the reverse logistics. More and more enterprises are aware of the importance of reverse logistics. Reverse logistics gradually become an effective way to improve the competitiveness of enterprises. Theoretical study and practical application of reverse logistics has got some considerable achievements, and will be in the stage of constant development in the other country. However, compared with the foreign research results, our researches of reverse logistics are at the threshold of the field, and there are few literatures about the reverse logistics. Most domestic enterprises merely put their concentration on forward logistics, with less or insufficient attention to reverse logistics.Inventory management is the most important part of logistics management as well as forward logistics, especially in reverse logistics. Reasonable inventory management of reverse logistics has the theory and practice double effect, it could make full use of resources of the return to regain their value and reduce the waste of resources, but also can bring indirect benefits to the enterprises, such as, enhance the enterprises' social image, improve customer satisfaction and reduce cost etc. However, the characteristics of reverse logistics, makes the node enterprises of supply chain need to control the forward logistics inventory in a rational manner, but also need to scientifically manage the reverse logistics inventory, so it makes inventory management of the node enterprises become more difficult.Based on the analysis of reverse logistics management status about home and abroad, especially the inventory management status, combined with the existing inventory theory, this paper discussed the issue about the supply chain inventory control based on reverse logistics. From the background and significance of the reverse logistics, this paper generalized and summarized the reverse logistics content, features and the different classification, as well as the major activities. Secondly, the inventory theories were reviewed, including the classification of inventory, the structure of inventory cost, inventory strategies and the classification of inventory model. Based on this, this paper made a further analysis of the distinction and relationship between the reverse logistics inventory problem and the traditional inventory issues. Because different return goods had different quality and return reasons, they backed the different nodes of the supply chain. Those who do not damage or need to simply handle, could back to the seller. This article gave some analysis about the seller inventory based on the reverse logistics, and modified an existing reverse logistics inventory model, taking into account the conditions "the repair time of return products". The inventory control model established in this paper was more practical. Under the producer responsibility regulation, the manufacturers in the upper reaches of the supply chain were the leading force of reverse logistics. In view of this, this paper also analyzed the manufacturer inventory based on reverse logistics, taking into account the system cost, established a model with the goal of minimization the average cost per unit. Then the optimal production quantity and remanufacturing quantity of the model were solved for manufacturers within the cycle. Finally, the paper summarized and put forward some further researches.
