Study Of The Construction Of China's Strategic Petroleum Reserve

Despite a lively debate on the construction of China's strategic petroleum reserve(SPR), little deep and multidimensional discussion on the topic has been conducted,especially on the economic analysis of the subject. In order to provide suggestion tothe authority ,Making uses of Fundamental Economics, Theory of Public Policy,International Political Economics as analytical tools, studies on successful practices ofconstruction of SPR all around the world, the paper states the concept, origin, goal,scale, system, legality of SPR. To begin with, this paper gives a brief introduction ofthe background and relative concept of SPR;secondly, it generalizes the previousacademic study on SPR and current situation of the construction of SPR in China;thirdly, it makes a thorough economic analysis and combines the result with the realpractice, which is both the weakness of the previous studies, and innovative part ofthis whole thesis;besides, it summarizes and categorizes the successful practices ofconstruction of SPR of major petroleum importing countries, which is the relativestrength of this thesis compared with previous studies. This paper concludes byproviding theoretical suggestions to authority.
