Research Of Transformation From Small And Medium-sized Highway Transportation Enterprises To Third Party Logistics

At the present time, there are a series of problems within the process of transformation from small and medium-sized highway transportation enterprises to third party logistics (TPL) in China. For example, enterprises just set up the sign of TPL, but there are still conspicuous differences remaining. Aiming at these problems, this paper emphatically investigates how to transform fleetly and authentically to TPL for small and medium-sized highway transportation enterprises, by relying on its predominance, under the environment of present society and market.In the first place, this paper elucidates the concept of TPL and its domestic and international development. On the basis of these, this paper analyzes the successful experiences and failure enlightenments of international highway transportation enterprises, at the same time indicates the directive significances for domestic small and medium-sized highway transportation enterprises.This paper detailedly analyzes both small and medium-sized highway transportation enterprise and TPL, and impersonally points out the differences of the two. On the basis, this paper emphatically investigates and analyzes the demands of TPL, and inevitability, necessity and feasibility of transformation, then deeply analyzes the industry environment and actuality during the process of transformation.On the basis of analyses of preceding paragraphs, this paper emphasizes on researching the strategy, tactics and concrete implementing methods. In strategy aspect, enterprises during the process of transformation, should adopt "two-step way" developing strategy, that is taking transformation to managing style TPL as the first strategy target, transforming to integrated style TPL in the second step;in tactics aspect, enterprises should implement "combining vertically and uniting transversely" developing tactics, that is combining clients and uniting logistics service suppliers including TPL enterprises and traditional storage enterprises;in implement aspect, this paper deeply analyzes and programs projects in the aspects of integrating resources, reengineering business process, building logistics information system, improving people's whole quality and increasing investment of logistics facilities and equipments.
