Application Of The Project Management Theory On The Neonate Multimedia Record Item

Neonate Multimedia Record Project(NMRP) is a comprehensive project characterized by both project management and management information systems. This paper analyzes the theories of project management and strategy management, the process of NMRP's application and operation, then summarizes relative experiences with the help of "web map method"and "Gant chart method". Therefore, the thesis is of value to those practical projects similar to NMRP in proceeding from theory to practice and generalizing practice into theory. When a baby is being born, those loving parents and grandparents all wish to witness the sacred and mysterious moment. Because of the strict restrictions on a sterilized environment, however, they can but wait outside the delivery room, concerned and helpless. In retrospection of the child's growing up, regretfully they find that there is no record for the process of child's being born, for which aiding parents to witness the process of a baby when he is being born by making management software to take down and process pictures and video record into a DVD disk, together with art modification and relative accessories this project produces a commercial product. This paper is divided into 5 chapters. Chapter one introduces the project background and the significance of choosing this topic NMRP the reason to carry this project, demand of NMRP in the market, development of the same project nationwide, and the practical significance to the society, the hospital, the would-be mother and the relatives. Chapter two reviews the brief theories about project management. Project management is a systematic science and varied in content, which comprises of nine categories of project management, definition and characteristics of project and project management, significance and application of project management, basic function and content of project management, etc. Chapter three analyzes the applicability of NMRP, mainly including socio-economic elements, social capacity, legal and political environment, technical elements, trade background, financial analysis, company's internal elements etc. Adopting SWOT matrix and calculating scores, this paper deduces that my company should set a rising strategy. Chapter four provides the structure for the management system of NMRP, stating briefly what kind of system we are to build, what we require about the hardware, what functions should the software supply, and what product we should com to finally. Chapter five introduces the process of NMRP's application in a step by step manner, relating its defaults and the project's background and target. Also, this chapter districts and resets the order of each sub-project, confining the resource demand of NMRP arranging the whole work into a matrix, and displaying it into web map method and Gant chart method. Finally, this chapter analyzes the risks of each sub-project and presents the counter-strategies. Through theoretical analysis, multiple market researches and practical operation of more than half a year, we believe NMRP is feasible. In addition, hospitals are a special market, the government's policies playing a large role. Therefore, we must pay close attention the various policies and adjust accordingly to make NMRP live long. Three highlights in NMRP are also clearly introduced, the programming of software the public relations on personnel and the management, however, because of our over-involvement in personal relations, there are still some drawbacks in NMRP's application. So , the distinction between business and relation should be made.
