The Strategic Research Of Dalian Taking Part In The Regional Economic Cooperation In Northeast Asia

In the 21st Century, it is an unpreventable developing trend for economic globalization and economic regionalization. For the countries and local governments in the Northeast Region, within the new trend, it has been a popular question regarding how to take part in the regional economic cooperation deeper and wider internationally, how to find out and build up the new mode for the economic cooperation in Northeast Asia, and how to give full play the location strategy and the economic advantages complementarities. It is a common expectation to deepen the economic cooperation in Northeast Asia. In this thesis, it will explore focally the economic cooperation among Japan, China and South Korea in Northeast Asia.Locating in the center of Northeast Asia, Dalian is the nearest point connecting the region including Bohai Sea Rim and Liaodong Peninsula with the rest of the world. It is an issue worth of thinking seriously at the time being on how to establish the leading position of Dalian by setting up the international shipping center with Dalian at the core, and take part in the regional economic cooperation in Northeast Asia. With the deepening development of the economic globalization and the regional economic integration in the world, it has become a common expectation to see that how Dalian can grasp the dual opportunities of the strategy "Revitalizing Northeast Old Industrial Base" and the policy "Opening up the Coastline Cities", how to undertake the new-round international industrial transfer proactively in a larger scale, a wider scope and a higher level, how to speed up the internationalization and modernization of the economy in Dalian, how to step on the road of regional economic integration, and how to realize the strategic objectives of "Greater Dalian" and "the Important International Shipping Center in Northeast Asia".In this thesis, the author will discuss how to take part in and set up a suitable strategy bearing the new mode for the economic cooperation in Northeast Asia so as to speed up the stable and healthy development of Dalian economy through the discussion of the basic theories such as the concept and characteristics of the regional economic cooperation in Northeast Asia, the regional economic cooperation, the economic integration, the analysis of the advantages of Dalian in the economic cooperation of Northeast Asia, and the analysis of the mode for Dalian participating in the economic cooperation of Northeast Asia with the government taking the lead.
