Knowledge Weblog

In the new year of knowledge economy, with the change of the information environment and the development of the information technology, knowledge has been regarded as an important resource of production by more and more people. The society has begun to rely more on the seeking and application of knowledge than ever before and the study on knowledge management has become the field attracting most attention of organizations and enterprises. However, there are some problems such as: the knowledge work processes cannot be quantified; too much dependence on information technology; the knowledge management is conducted from top to bottom with the management level as its' beginning. Therefore, the traditional knowledge management remains to be the management of the explicit knowledge and at the level of information management. There is a lack of efficient management method to realize the innovation and share of knowledge, especially the innovation and share of tacit knowledge that is the core competition of organizations.Weblog, as the product of destiny, pumped new life into the knowledge management with its various characteristics. Because the extent to which the knowledge work processes could be understood made all the difference between success and failure of the knowledge management, this thesis started from this point. Through grasping the key links in the knowledge work processes, and based on the studies of Efimoma and others, this thesis put forward the general model of knowledge work processes based on weblog, and analyzed its main characteristics from the standpoint of knowledge management. Based on the analysis, the weblog was applied in the personal knowledge management and organizational knowledge management and then the new organizational knowledge management method, i.e. knowledge weblog was obtained. Through the profound analysis of the share and innovation mechanism of knowledge weblog, this thesis confirmed the advantages of this mechanism compared with the traditional knowledge management and put forward the implement proposals of the knowledge weblog.This thesis consisted of four parts.The first part was the introduction, in which the research subject of this thesis was introduced and the current situation of the domestic and overseas research in this field was clearly expounded.The second part was the analysis of the problems encountered in traditional knowledge management. By introducing the development of knowledge management, the author found out the problems and made systematic and integrated induction.The third part was about weblog. Firstly, the contents related to weblog were introduced. Secondly, the model of knowledge work processes based on weblog was proposed and the characteristics were analyzed from the standpoint of knowledge management as follows: the knowledge innovation mechanism with the open individual as its subject; the knowledge organization mechanism with the distributed internet as its technology platform; the knowledge diffusion mechanism with nonlinear and self-organization as its' characteristics.The forth part was based on the third part. Appling the weblog into knowledge management, the author put forward the concept of knowledge weblog and specified its share and innovation mechanism. Hence solved the problems existing in traditional knowledge management. At the end of the thesis, the knowledge weblog and the traditional knowledge management were compared and the development tendency of the knowledge weblog was forecasted.
