With the rapid development of IT industry, IT enterprises have played more and more role in economic development. As the high technology enterprises, IT enterprises have promoted much development in many fields, such as economic, social, and cultural life, which have become the key means to foster the human cultural progress. So, the characteristic of IT determines that the IT talents are important for IT enterprises.The IT talents are the key human capital in enterprises, especially, the key technicians who control the core technology, so how to motivate them in order to display their potential is very crucial. However, our country is facing the problem of serious brain drain, which may result from many factors, eg. the international environment for the IT industry, IT employees' problems and so on. Yet, management, especially, the human resource management problem is the essence among that. Based on the problem, this paper proposes the thought of IT career management in our IT enterprises and demonstrates the necessity of career management in IT enterprises from career management theory & contents, and the current problems in human resource management of our IT enterprises. Further, this paper explores the establishment of IT career management system.This paper includes 6 chapters besides forward. The first chapter is the literature summary, mainly explains the evolution of the career study. Section 1 introduces the development of career management theory from both domestic and international fields; section 2is the summary of this article contents.The second chapter is the career management introduction. Section 1 is the definition of the conception for career management; section 2 is the introduction of the factors which enterprise influnces the career management of employees. section 3 presents the specific practice of employees' career management in foreign countries.The third chapter is the analysis of our country's current human resource management conditions. Section 1 is the general current situations in our IT enterprises; section 2 suggests the existing human resource management problems in our IT enterprises and analyzes the problems.The fourth chapter analyzes why we adopt career management based on the study of human resource management in our IT enterprises. It demonstrates the significance of exertion career management from internal and external aspects.The fifth chapter is to establish our IT enterprises career management system and explore its process. This chapter includes 2 parts: first is the specific contents and framework for IT enterprises career management; finally, it further analyzes how to design IT enterprises career management system.The sixth chapter is the generalization of the whole paper. The study and practice career management has had long history in foreign countries, while has had little in our country—we have only studied in recent 2 years, so we have not complete system, especially the career practice and there is long way to go. This paper, considering the IT enterprises, proposes the necessity that we should adopt IT employees' career management and explores the specific practice which, to some degree, enriches the study of our country.
