The Study And Implement Of Modern Agricultural Information Management And Service System Building In Ningxia

The construction of IT applications in agriculture and rural development is an important impetus for improving agricultural modernization and thriving rural society. The Government shall set up the authentic agricultural information system to manage and serve the agriculture and rural economic development. Both developed and developing countries in the world pay much attention to the development of agricultural information system within their national development strategy. Information network technology and information services have supported agricultural development and international competition powerfully. Before this thesis was written, references had been read regarding to the methods and progress in information system building, existing information management, and services system, both domestic and abroad. Analysis then has been made to find out the actuality, advantage, potential, and the bottleneck of agricultural information system building in Ningxia province. To the aim of serving "San Nong" (farmers, agriculture and rural society as three beneficiaries from the service) and approaching to modern agriculture, agricultural informatical system of the provincial information management and services has been designed and executed in Ningxia. This thesis presents the project in guiding ideology, blue-construct principles, staged objective and contents, organizational measures, risk management, analysis of anticipated results and benefits. It is known from the research that construction of the agricultural information management and service system in west China will be necessary in overcoming the regional economic disadvantages, upgrading agricultural qualitative profits, enhancing the market competition, and realizing rapid agriculture development in more sustainable way, feasible opportunities under political condition, investment support and technological availability. This project has been implemented in the first stage and shown remarkable benefits in enhancement of information management and service, speed up of modern and informatization course in Ningxia agriculture.
