This paper analyses the market environment faced by Leiyang electric power project andstudies the forecast of power demand and the evaluation of its development sustainability. Themain works are as follows: 1. It analyses the internal environment and the externalenvironment faced by Leiyang electric power project, which provide a basis for post-evaluation of the project. 2. Analyses vary forecast methods. Aim at the medium-term andlong-term load, put forward combinatory forecast model based on entropy, and show itsapplicability and dependability by demonstration. 3. Put forward a long term power demandmodel with cointegration, which is used to analyses the main factors influencing powerdemand. And set up a long-term strategy model of Hunan power market. 4. Set up acomprehensive indicators system, it can evaluate sustainability of electric power projectscientifically and effectively. 5. Associating qualitative method and quantitative method set upcomprehensive evaluation model and evaluate the sustainability of Leiyang electric powerproject. 6. A model is set up to describe the harmonious and contrary relations in the electricpower project, local environment and local economy.
