This paper analyses the internal and the external environment faced by Xiangtan electric power project and studies the forecast of power demand and the evaluation of its development sustainability. The main works are as follows: 1. It analyses the internal environment and the external environment faced by Xiangtan electric power project, which provide a basis for post-evaluation of the project. 2. Analyses traditional gray forcasting method and its calculated bound. Aim at the medium-term and long-term load, put forward gray forcasting model based on genetic algorithms, and show its applicability and dependability by demonstration. 3. Set up a comprehensive indicators system, it can evaluate sustainability of electric power project scientifically and effectively. 4. The product combination weighting basde on AHP and entropy method is selected to evaluate weights. 5. Associating qualitative method and quantitative method set up fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model and evaluate the sustainability of Xiangtan electric power project.
