With the gradual intensification of the economic globalization process, industrialcompetitiveness has already become the important factor of a country or regionaldevelopment. The industrial scale, the development speed, the industrial chain's construction,the enterprises' management level, the cluster industries' growth degree, the industrialstructure and level, etc. are linked with the industry competitiveness closely all withoutexception. Dezhou is a low developed area of Shandong Province, the industrial developmentis still at the industrialization intermediate stage. The textile industry takes its traditional pillarindustry. The study will help to probe into the measure and countermeasure ofcompetitiveness of Dezhou further and realize the coordinated development of the regionaleconomy .Based on the background of the domestic and international textile industry, with the aidof the quantitative study and qualitative analysis, the thesis mainly analyzes the currentsituation level and developing potential of textile industry competitiveness of Dezhou. Andthen, the thesis probes into the promotion tactics of its competitiveness. The thesis iscomposed of six parts.Ⅰ: Introduction. This part consists of four sub-parts, which are the differentiatingconcept of industry competitiveness, the overall developing situation and the characteristic oftextile industry in the world and our country, the significance and purpose of the thesis, theresearching methods. By comprehending the concept of industry competitiveness and theoverall developing situation of textile industry in the world and the characteristic of textileindustry in our country, the significance, purpose and method of studying are expounded.Ⅱ: The theoretical foundation of industry competitiveness. Based on comparativelyanalyzing the foreign industry competitive theory and the domestic theory, the authorevaluates Adam Smith's absolute cost theory, David Ricardo's comparison cost superioritytheory, Michael E·Porter's competitive advantage of nations theory, WEF's and IMD'snational competitive power theory, industry gathering theory and industrial organizationefficiency theory and so on. Thus it constructs the industrial competitiveness evaluatingsystem for this article to lay the rationale.Ⅲ: Textile industry's SWOT analysis of Dezhou. The thesis analyzes the advantage,inferior position, opportunity and challenge of the textile industry of Dezhou in industrialenvironment and supporting system, the factors of enterprises, textile industry chain and so on.This helps to generally analyze the textile industry developing level and the textile industryincreasing mechanism of Dezhou.Ⅳ: Index system construction of evaluating industry competitiveness. The thesisanalyzes the basic principle of industry's competitiveness and designs the indicator system oftextile industry competitiveness including 11 indexes. Though the government's policy system,the enterprise leader's quality and management level play a very important role in industrydevelopment, soft environmental factors are not listed among index system, because they aredifficult to be quantified and compared objectively.Ⅴ: Evaluating textile industry competitiveness of Dezhou. Based on index systemconstruction of evaluating textile industry competitiveness, from five aspects, which are scale,structure, market, growth strength, innovation, the thesis synthetically evaluates textileindustry competitiveness of Dezhou and draws a conclusion that the textile industry resides insuperiority status in Dezhou. But compared with textile industries of other cities, theeconomic efficiency of Dezhou is less insufficient, industrial scale is smaller and the marketshare is lower.Ⅵ:Improving strategies of textile industry competitiveness of Dezhou. This part focuseson the seven aspects. They are as follows: ①Paying attention to the technological innovation,advancing industry upgrading. ②Developing " famous brand " , " brand " strategies. ③Deepening industrial structure adjustment, fostering cluster industries in a more cost-effectivemanner. ④Improving the information-based levels of enterprises. ⑤Setting up in a widerange of the fund-raising channel, optimizing the development environment. ⑥Advancingthe internationalization of managing of enterprise actively. ⑦Strengthening industry's policyguidance, strengthening the trade to guide.
