A decision support system is a human-machine interface that is helpful to a decision maker to resolve issues of structured or half-structured through the synthesis of related information and the methodology of model. It is a trend to apply DSS broadly. The key of DSS is model management platform, which responds for determining an aided decision through the model set-up, maintenance, selection and execution. Model base platform do help the decision maker with much valued experience, but many difficulties occur when we want to utilize it deeply.First, user expects to manage model system as easily as Data Base system and puts forward a concept of Model Base System. But model is more complex than data. It is hard to develop a general-purpose system for every scope, though many studies on it have been processed by some experts, they all focused on a certain application field. These existed systems must be modified in a great deal even reset when a new application requires. Obviously, this kind of system is not advisable with its high cost and the lack of feasibility, reusability and extension.Second, another study that develops a perfect and overall model to solve every decision problem walks an abstract, idealistic direction.
