Restrictive Factors And Countermeasures On The Development Of Northern Jiangsu

Imbalance development between regions is prevalent phenomena in the progressing course of many states and areas. Disparity of regional development, i.e. the developing gap between the North and the South and Middle area, is an important factor in restricting the economic and social development in Jiangsu province. In the recent years, the strategy of Jiangsu's "three areas developing together" had taken prominent effect. However, focusing the "two lead", how to promote co-prosperity of regions on a higher degree and how to mend the advancing pace of Northern Jiangsu, is a critical problem in the modernization of Jiangsu province.This study sought for the reasons which had been restricting the development of Northern Jiangsu. Based on the study, policies and measures were made to eliminate the restrictions and break through the bottle-necks.After the review of literature and relative theories, this thesis made an analysis on the present conditions and restrictions, as well as the future of Northern Jiangsu. It made the conclusion that five factors were the bottlenecks, including laggard infrastructure, low urbanization, behindhand industrialization, lacking innovation, feeble Macro-Control, etc. Consequently, to get spanning development, the junior priorities must be got by fitting the following ingredients together, resource and location advantages, technology and ingenious, environment and policy advantages.Six chapters following comprise this thesis:Chapter one is the introduction, which brought forward the issue and the devotion of development of Northern Jiangsu to the whole province. Consequently, it designed the object and framework and generalized the owing researching contents.
