As the expressway development rapidly in our country, vehicles exhaust emission hasbecome a noticeable part in air pollution. Thus estimating its impact degree on the airpollution seems to be especially important. This article predicted the atmospheric pollutantconcentration surrounding the Shi Huang Expressway by using MOBILE6model andmonitoring on the spot in the while. By contrasting the value of prediction and monitor, together with the predictor of pollution materials surrounding the Shi Huang Expresswayin the next ten years, a disposing suggestion was put forward. In period of January2012to December2012, the two kinds air pollutants of CO,NOx were detected at monitoring points nearby Expressway toll stations of Jin-Zhou,Shen-Zhou east and Wu-Qiang for four times, and the two pollutant intensities of CO andNOx were predicted by using the model of the source SCREEN3as a while. Meanwhile, the paper predicted the pollution emission surrounding the Shi Huang Expressway usingMOBILE6model. Comparing the two predicted results, the impact of vehicle emissions ofShi-Huang Expressway on the surrounding environment is not very significant, but withthe traffic flow increasing in Shi Huang Expressway the concentration of CO and NOxwill exceed the environmental air quality standards Ⅱ,which will produce a seriousimpact on the surrounding ambient air.Based on those studies, this paper advised to establish stringent vehicle emissionstandards, use economic means to adjust the tax market regulation. By improving the I/Msystem, carrying out clean alternative fuel vehicles and accelerating the elimination ofmotor vehicles to control the impaction of vehicle pollutant emission on Shi Huangexpressway surrounding ambient air.
