China used to be a productive mechanical manufacturing country in the world but now it is a critical point of time for China to improve from production-oriented to precise-oriented. The acceptance of CNC equipments has been increasing dramatically, which leads to an intense demand of CNC machine maintenance and repair services in the market. CNC repair technology is a scientific which requires strong practicality and it becomes an important issue for mechanic colleges to combine theory with practice (case study) in daily teaching process. In other words, this kind of college has to find a better method to cultivate students both theoretically and practically. To carry out the Notice (2012, No.8) of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China, the subject of CNC Machine Tools Assembly and Repair of Chengdu Technician College has been listed in the national integrated curriculum reforming programme. This paper focused on how to prepare skillful technicians for China’s ongoing industry development and how to merge theoretical education into practical operation under the integrated curriculum. In order to achieve the goal, some social activities like professional forums and co-operation between colleges and enterprises are required as well.Additionally, detailed market research and teaching design have been prepared for the future development of CNC in order to provide solid support for talents training scheme and integrated curriculum reform. If above concepts and proposals can be fulfilled thoroughly, it will contribute to China’s ongoing industrial development and mechanic education reform process positively. Besides, job positions and job responsibilities have also been studied and analysed in this paper with the purpose to matching with national standard. Furthermore, through industrial analysis and daily job content analysis, talents training mode and professional task standard have been established for the course CNC Machine Tools Assembly and Repair. After a further analysis into professional task, core modules have been refined for integrated curriculum, where study purposes and module contents have been determined in the meantime. Consequently, an updated course CNC Machine Tools Assembly and Repair is finally provided for college’s modern education as well as for increasing market demand.
