Abstract:In recent years, the demand for manganese ore is increasing due to the rapid development of the steel and related industries. Since rhodochrosite selective flotation collectors often poor, the lack of effective inhibitors, similar useful minerals and gangue minerals in nature, leading to their separation is difficult. In this paper, a rhodochrosite of Guangxi flotation process were studied, and provides a basis for theoretical research through a single mineral flotation behavior.Single mineral results showed that:the ability of sodium oleate collector of rhodochrosite is strong, quartz collected capacity is weak The separation of quartz and rhodochrosite artificial mixed ore is achieved by using sodium oleate as collector and hexametaphosphate as inhibitor.Instead of sodium oleate, dodecylamine acetate as collector has a strong ability for quartz, rhodochrosite collected ability is relatively weak. Dodecylamine acetate as collector, corn starch as inhibitor can also be achieved the separation of rhodochrosite and quartz artificially mixed ore.The actual ore content manganese carbonate is10.69%, and1.42%manganese dioxide contented. Process Mineralogy found that manganese carbonate and manganese dioxide in part is replaced by calcium, magnesium, iron and other elements, mainly in the form of manganese dolomite, rarely form of single rhodochrosite; manganese dioxide and manganese carbonate symbiosis closely. Actual ore using a sediment sortingUsing positive flotation for sludge, oil sodium and five-nine hydroxamic acid as collector, waterglass and hexametaphosphate as modifier, manganese carbonate by the test procedure of one rougher flotation-one cleaner flotation-three scavenger flotation obtained a grade from8.43%to16.41%, recovery of manganese ore is56.18%. Mineral sands by reverse flotation to dodecylamine as collector, corn starch as modifier, the test procedure of one rougher flotation-two cleaner flotation-three scavenger flotation obtained a grade from14.09%to20.73%, recovery of manganese ore is75.21%. By potentiodynamic tests, infrared spectroscopy, ultraviolet absorption amount measuring means, the mechanism of action was studied between minerals with reagents. The results showed that there are both electrostatic adsorption and chemisorption for sodium oleate in rhodochrosite surface adsorption.
