Coal spontaneous combustion not only consumes large coal, precious and nonrenewable resources, but also produces much harmful gas, SO2, NOx, CO, CO2and so on. The harmful gas can cause severe losses and influence to the forest vegetation, atmospheric environment, water and soil resources, ecological environment, tourism human landscape, and economic development. What’s more, it causes a variety of geological disasters easily, and does harm to the people’s life and property and ecological environment. Therefore, Shanxi Province in2012launched a comprehensive "spontaneous combustion of coal seam geology exploration in Shanxi Province in the study of governance measures", which promotes sustainable development of the province in coal resources of fund projects, the filing unit of the project is coal geology bureau, Shanxi Province, the leading implementation unit by the provincial coal geological environment survey institute is responsible for the resources. The establishment and completion of the project will be more conducive to improve the ecological environment of the province, reduce the number of geological hazards, promote the effective protection and reasonable development of natural resources. And its research results will fill the blank of the governance of coal spontaneous combustion technology in Shanxi Province, also play an important role in promoting the transformation of Shanxi spanning development, realizing the "four modernizations" Shanxi, ecological Shanxi and harmony Shanxi.The work of the overall train of thought of the fund project can be summarized as following, around the provincial government work requirements, effectively use of advanced exploration technique and methods, give full play to the positive role of coal geological team, through the analysis of the actual investigation and study for scientific reasoning, accurately grasp the scope of the coal seam spontaneous combustion area and the dangerous degree, a comprehensive analysis of coal spontaneous combustion of coal resources, land resources, ecological environment and the influence of coal mine safety, etc, and the study of coal seam spontaneous combustion problem found in effective governance and rationalization of the opinions and suggestions, for the service of Shanxi "four modernizations" and "area heddle change" construction to make contributions.In respect to the geological disasters in coal fire governance, previous work is magnetic method detection and electrical method, in the matter of radioactive detection,the radon measurement method is very popular. Radon measurement method is one of the nuclear geophysical exploration, which has been very popular in coal fire detection in recent years. Other aspects of effective thermometry method, including temperature test of infrared temperature measurement. However, once the combustion of coal seam, general live fire zone temperatures will reach hundreds of degrees Celsius, severe collapse happens easily. It is because the underground coal fire area is very complicated, exploration and the ground temperature measurement work can become very dangerous, most ground geophysical exploration of live fire zone can’t work.Analysis of geological hazard assessment is one of the important links of the geological disaster prevention, with the development of the information technology, the traditional geological disaster evaluation methods can not meet the needs of the current situation. In Datong mining area geological disaster development situation of field investigation, auxiliary means such as remote sensing image visual interpretation, on the basis of comprehensive analysis, this paper uses the analytic hierarchy process system comprehensive evaluation method, determines the Datong mining area geological environment quality system hierarchical structure model, the corresponding formula was established by applying the fuzzy mathematics principle, and then evaluated with qualitative and semi-quantitative, could be divided into good geological environment, general, poor, very poor four areas, for the present situation of the geological environment assessment provides the scientific basis.
