Static characteristic of the machine tool is an important indicator to assess theoverall performance, improving the machine stiffness can improve the machiningaccuracy, surface quality and the production efficiency. While improving the dynamicstiffness of the machine tool can improve vibration resistance and stability, thusimproving the machine dynamic and static stiffness is particularly important and critical.In recent years, three-point support gradually become the development trend of themachine tool industry because of the advantages of easy leveling, small internal stressand the ability to maintain good accuracy. There is still no clear guidance theory for thedesign of bed in three-point support, so it is essential to make structural optimizationdesign of the bed in three-point support. Taking precision horizontal machining centeras the object of the research, make static analysis and dynamic analysis of the machineand the T-type bed under three-point support by ANSYS, on the basis of static analysisand dynamic analysis of structures of different sizes under certain topology T-shapedbed, reveal the relationship of the static deformation, natural frequencies and structuralsizes, then build the initial design principles. The main work is as follows:(1) Through analysis of each component deformation along different assemblysequence in the three-point support condition, taking the accuracy of the rail asreference standard, explore the static deformation law of the whole machine in theassembly process and guide the machine assembly process to improve the accuracyof machine assembly.(2) Through make finite element modeling and static and dynamic mechanical analysisin certain topology of T-shaped bed in different sizes. Taking bed static stiffness,rail precision and modality as evaluation criteria, through a lot of trials, obtain basicstructural design specifications of T-shaped bed in three-point support, bedstructural size combination in three-point support and provide theory guidance andsupport for the optimal design based on Isight.(3) Making use of Isight software to integrate Pro/E and ANSYS, building finiteelement analysis process platform. Taking T-shaped bed structural dimensions asdesign variables, taking bed static stiffness, rail precision and bed natural frequencyas the goal of multi-objective optimization, taking the design specifications obtained by analysis above, make structural optimization of T-shaped bed, sum up thestructural size design principles of T-shaped bed in three-point support.Through the design principles of T-shaped bed in three-point support, providedesign theoretical of T-shaped bed in three-point support.
