This project aims at process designation on a workshop for waste acid treatmentof an electronic technology company in Zhejiang province. After deeply investigationand analysis of the productive environment and actual situation around theworkshop,it was determined to design a set of equipment to use waste acid. From theperspective of innovation program, this design mainly aims at providing a piece ofdesign instruction and a set of art work sheet.Main waste acid in the productive process are waste nitric acidand waste sulfuricacid. The reconstruction project has been decided to design a set of integratedproduction line which uses the industrial ferrous sulphate (green copperas) as rawmaterial. It can make use of the catalysis of nitric acid and oxygenizement ofsulphuric acid in the waste acid. The inventory rating [S O42-]/[F e]总should be at1.4.Feed oxygen after heating to60℃along withstir speed (S.S.) at250r/min. After3.5hours of reaction, oxidizeferrous into ferric iron, meanwhile keep thehydrolytic-polymeric reaction for half an hour at the same environment.Then we willget the ultimated product water purification agent--Polymeric ferric sulfate. By thisprocedure, not only make the ejection of waste acid under control, but also get a waterpurification agent with high market value.This paper also includes below6points:1. detail instruction of current situationand tendency of world-wide PFS preparation technology,2. background of this project,3. the choice and discussion on technical innovation methods and turns out the usageof waste acid to make PFS.4. detailed mass balance and heat balance towards theprocedure.5. designation and calculation of the main equipment which determine thatthe production line needs6set of occasional PTFE Lined Steel Agitator Reactorwhose volume are12500L to complete the procedure oxidation, hydrolyzation andpolymerization.5. designation and instruction about the layout of equipment andchemical pipe which are qualified with the relevant national standards in order tomeet the safety and sanitation requirements.6. reasonable chemical pipe calculationand decision with the pipe layout of the equipments.7. detailed economicalestimation. Relevant process calculationindicates that the workshop for waste acidcomprehensive utilization will only consume78396tons of green copperas tomanufacture11677.76tons of liquid PFS. only301.7tons of raw coal to provide theannual energy consumption. This is a low-energy-consumption procedure withanafter-tax profitof709.6million. The after-tax dynamic payback period would onlybe1.24years which includes the1year for construction. Therefore the investmentrisk is low and return rate is considerable. It has significant benefit on practical useand extent reference value for future PFS preparation and application.The main achievements about this diploma project are design sheets, Plantgeneral layout, technological flow sheet with control points, major deviceconstruction diagram, workshop equipments layout diagram and pipe layout diagram.
