Crop straw is good material of wood-pellet(biomass solid formed fuel).The utilization ofcrop straw is still very low in our country at present, many farmers make the straw harvestedburning directly, which cause waste of resource and pollute the environment. In order to makethe wheat straw, rice straw flow smoothly, solve the problem that huge volume, storage andinconvenient transportation bring, we need to use special packing machine to pack the softstraw in. The straw bale must be scattered before use, and the speed of bale loosing need bequick on the assembly line. Artificial bale loosing can’t keep up with the speed, and increase thepretreatment cost. So we need special equipment to unpack and loose the soft straw bales. Butexisting bale loosing machine has some problems, such as high energy consumption, easy tojam and so on, therefore, this paper designed a new kind of soft straw bale loosing and crudeshredding equipment. The main research and work are as follows:(1)The property and chopped mode of the soft straw commonly used are analyzed. Thecombination of fly-wheel and hammer chopped mode is used for the way of bale loosing andcrude shredding.(2)Studying and analyzing the cutting theory of knife blade on disc and screw blade. It isconcluded that the cutting of knife blade installed on screw blade belongs to equal slidingcutting angle cutting, and the process of bale loosing and crude shredding is more stable,therefore, determining to use the screw blade as the cutter head for the structure of bale loosingand crude shredding equipment.(3)The design of bale loosing and crude shredding machine is proposed. According totheory and experience, Calculating and choosing its structural and processing parameters, andanalyzing the simplified stress on knife blade. The critical component and main parameters ofchain conveyor have been selected and calculated, and the selection of conveyor chain,transmission chain, gear motor is reliable by calculating and checking, which meet therequirements.(4)Using Solid Edge parametric modeling technology to design, modeling and virtualassemble parts and components of complete machine, and the final assembly model does notexist static interference. Stress analysis and strength checking on shaft of bale loosing and crudeshredding machine had been carried out, and the results showed that the design strength andstiffness of shaft meet the requirements.(5)The structural finite element analysis on bale loosing and crude shredding machineblade has been carried out by using ANSYS software. The results showed that the design ofknife blade is reasonable, and the design strength of knife blade meets the requirement. Modalanalysis has been carried out on the spindle of bale loosing and crude shredding machine, andthe results showed that the spindle didn’t have intense vibration, the design of spindle isreasonable.(6)The simulation analysis on rotor part of bale loosing and crude shredding machine hasbeen carried out by using ADAMS mechanical system dynamics analysis software, and resultsshowed that there is no movement interference among the moving parts. The driven beltwithout tension makes the steady speed of lower bale loosing shaft be highly affected by theprocessing resistance, and far below the design requirement. After the driven belt is tensioned, bale loosing and crude shredding equipment rotates stably, the steady speed of lower baleloosing shaft meet design and working requirements, and processing resistance only has littleimpact on it.The research results of this paper can provide a reference for the design on soft straw baleloosing equipment, promote large-scale use of straw and generalization of wood-pellet toimprove current serious environment.
