Digital printing technology brings new technical revolution with a new technologyof printing and dyeing for cashmere industry, realizes the rapid design and fastproduction of cashmere printed fabric.Because there is a lack of the innovation in thepattern design of current domestic digital printing of cashmere fabric. Therefore, theapplication of tie dyeing art with China characteristics in cashmere fabrics throughcomputer simulation technology is of great significance to the innovative design ofprinting patterns. Fractal graphics and traditional pattern have similarity with eachother.Then the paper uses the fractal theory to design the pattern of tie dyeing, whichcan develop the art design, enrich the design of digital printing pattern.The subject combined the new type of digital printing technology with the conceptof traditional tie dyeing pattern design. Besides, the subject proposed the simulation dyepatterns which based on fractal theory and applied them to digital printing of cashmerefirstly. Through the research of the dyeing technology and fractal graphics, the paperchose the fractal theory of Mandelbrot set and Julia set, with the help of Matlabprogramming software and ultra fractal software, to achieve simulation dye patternsartistic effect. then, two sets were changed in parameters, function and amplified timesto give tie dyeing imitation seam twist method, binding method, folder method and thepattern design method of special techniques. Finally, the dye pattern was applied todigital printing of cashmere fabric. Through the practical design method of experimentalsummary in imitation dye patterns, the paper used tie dyeing pattern elements to designagain, and designed the printings which had Chinese characteristics.According to research, the Mandelbrot set, Julia set with the changes of high powerW (w=2,3...9) have imitation seam twist method artistic effect. The Mandelbrot set andJulia set were amplified times. The low magnification has the style of Joint warpingmethod and high magnification has the style of banding method of pinch of firm. Thechanges of two sets in sin function and cos function have folding firm artistic effectwith binding method. By using the fractal graphics with interpolation function structureMandelbrot set, Julia set frame structure have artistic effect of binding method. Throughthe experiment of digital printing of cashmere concluded, fractal tied dyeing imitationon different styles of printings which had less affected on fabric, and the imitation seam twist method pattern was delicate in density loose worsted cashmere fabric printingwhich the stitch was not obvious.
