Iron and steel industry is the pillar industry of national economy, plate is a major iron and steel industry products, it is necessary for national economic development, an important material, mainly used in construction, machinery manufacturing, container manufacturing, shipbuilding, bridge construction and so on. Steel rolling plate mill is one of the main mill, and its level of productivity represents a level of national industrial development rolling. Control of plate mill is currently a gap there compared with abroad, which requires us to in-depth study and full use of existing technology and equipment to optimize the transformation, the maximum constant product improvement and quality of plate.Chapter1of this paper introduces the development trend of plate mill and mill control technology development status, given the background of thesis. Process control modle of mill of the Tianjin Iron&Steel Group Co., Ltd. has been analyzed in Chapter2. Based on the control system of the present mill of the Tianjin Iron&Steel Group Co., Ltd. plate Factory, Chapter3gives a detailed analysis to the application of the plate are process control system model, including the rough rolling and finish rolling process of rolling thermal expansion model, high-pressure water removal model, the natural width of the extended model, rolling velocity model, temperature model and the rolling force model. Based on the model analysis of Chapter3, Chapter4optimizes each model of the roughing mill and finishing mill.After the optimal control model achieved very good results, improved product yield and quality, and achieved good economic returns.
