The stability, uniformity and safety of a tire is up to the vulcanization quality as tirevulcanization is the last process of tire manufacture. Traditional vulcanizationmachines have the shortcomings of high cost, large area covering and heavy weightand its facility utilization is limited for monomer although it has been developed fornearly80years and get more and more mature today. To further improve the degree ofautomation and equipment utilization rate, we should consider in the view ofvulcanizer units rather than blindly improve and update just for one single monomer.Vulcanizer units is a kind of tire stereotypes curing equipment which developed fromshaper-vulcanizer and there are two forms of vulcanizer units-mould movable andcommon facilitiy movable. Structure of the vulcanizer units with movable mould issimpler and easier to implement. So we take it as the subject investigated then designthe structure and operation logic algorithm for it.The paper designs three kind of vulcanizer units with movable mould and makesthe simulation analysis of their structure. By analyzing the vulcanizer units withmovable mould,box-type valcanizing unit and valcanizer units in the same simulationconditions with Flexsim, a system simulation software, the paper gets the simulationdata,then make further optimization design and compare them. At last, the papercomes to the conclusions as follows:(1)The vulcanizer units with movable mould is practicable;(2)The vulcanizer units with movable mould could save70%of cover area and30%of steel consumption relative to valcanizer units with the same throughput and it’salso advantageous to save steam consumption and space resources;(3)The vulcanizer units with movable mould could improve the utilization rateof curing equipment and production automation level;(4)Among the three structure schemes designed in this paper, scheme1andscheme2could set20vulcanizing stations at most however scheme3could hold26 vulcanizing stations at most for the tire curing production of8.25R20type tire.
