A higher level of informatization has been demanded increasingly for the safety of coal mine in recent years, the wireless communication has been adopted as a supplementary means because of the limited coverage, poor ability to adapt to the environment and other reasons of the traditional wired communication network. This article aims at combining different networks that includes wireless network and wired network underground the coal mine, and a heterogeneous integrated gateway is designed, the different networks can communicate with each other through the gateway, and the coverage of the underground network will be expanded, too. It provides the communication support for the underground unmanned, remote monitoring.First of all, this paper introduces the network protocol, network structure and the application of the various perceptive network, then on the basis of the heterogeneity of all the above network, a hierarchical fused gateway model of the heterogeneous networks is put forward. It is implemented from the hardware and software aspects respectively.At the hardware aspect, the gateway uses Ralink RT5350which is32bits and has MIPS24KC processer as the hardware platform, RT5350has AP interface, Ethernet interface and supports hot swap USB and USRT at the same time, we can extend it with a CC2530chip, then they can communicate through USRT. At the software aspect, we can transplant OpenWrt operating system to the gateway, then set the OpenWrt system supporting wireless WiFi network and USB/wireless video monitoring.In order to guarantee the validity of a failure gateway does not affect the entire network, the gateway must create the network in Mesh mode, the combination of hardware and software, which makes the gateway can be connected by the fast Ethernet, the gateway can make the external network communicate with the internal networks. The external network or the WiFi network can control the ZigBee network or receive data from the ZigBee network; the webcam can transform the video monitoring screen to the Ethernet through USB or WiFi network. The intelligent terminal in the WiFi network can also control the nodes in the ZigBee network, and the devices in the Ethernet can remotely control the nodes underground the coal mine, then the real-time information under the coal mine will be got. The heterogeneous integrated gateway makes the terminals in different networks can communicate with each other, that is to say, the nodes of different business types, different data rates and different protocol networks can communicate at the same time, it provides a high reliability for the safe production of coal mine.
