Poverty is a global social phenomenon, which is considered as the chief issue of the three social development problems by the United Nations. It's a major social issue plaguing china for a long time and hampering economic and social development seriously. There are legion people in poverty especially in rural china which caused by complex reasons and difficult to change. It is significant to study the rural household poverty deeply and strive to promote the anti-poverty process for the promotion of peasants'free and full development and the acceleration of building the new socialist countryside.Based on the individual origin approach, this study analyses the rural family poverty from a human capital perspective. It operates the concept of human capital using one of the sociology methods. It compares the households'conditions in Zigui County of Hubei Province which are poor or not, as an empirical research analyzed by the unit of family, and study the influence of rural labors'human capital on their family poverty from the microcosmic view in the context of social transformation.The thesis is discussed in five aspects by analyzing the survey data from the questionnaires using the social statistics technology and explaining the case data from the deep interviews. It makes the conclusion that the stock of the rural labors'human capital including knowledge, skills, health, the ability of migration and ideas has an important influence on his family poverty in rural areas in China.The Study expound that the stock of knowledge reflecting the labors'ability of comprehension about the working environment, tools, objects and the process of interaction between each elements, the stock of skills which representing the labors' ability of transforming the objects in laboring, the stock of health which is the determining factor of the laboring time, the stock of the ability of migration which is the decisive factor of the laboring space, and the stock of the ideas which influence the subjective initiative activeness synthesizes the quality of labor which affects the possibility of the labors walk up to poverty.According to the study, this article considers that increasing the investment in human capital is the fundamental way to resolve the problem of poverty. It is essential to enhance the stock of knowledge, skills, health, the ability of migration and ideas for the labors in rural areas in China accelerated by themselves, the government and the social organizations.
