| Poverty is a major problem that has plagued China’s social and economic development for a long time.In China’s rural area,there is a large poor population,the reason of poverty formation is complicated,and it is difficult to get rid of poverty.So for a long time,solving the problem of poverty has been the key policy of the party and the government.The "11th Five-Year plan" clearly put forward the new goal of preventing intergenerational transmission of poverty,and the two session of the Twelfth National People’s Congress made it clear that it is necessary to curb poverty transmit from generation to generation.It shows that preventing intergenerational transmission of poverty is the key to solving the problem of poverty.Under this background,studying on the formation of intergenerational transmission of poverty,how poverty passing on from generation to generation,would help to improve the accuracy of poverty alleviation and avoid blindness,it would also have great significance to promote the development of rural economy and take targeted measures in poverty alleviation.This article takes the rural poor families as the research unit,and explains intergenerational transmission of poverty from the perspective of human capital.Based on the survey data of 564 poor families and the qualitative data of 10 poor families in J village,Wuhan city,it discusses intergenerational transmission of poverty through three aspects: First of all,this paper discusses the relationship between human capital and poverty.Secondly,operates the concept of human capital and applies multivariate linear regression to discuss the influence factors of intergenerational transmission of poverty in rural areas from knowledge,skills,health and ideas.At last,analysis the relationship between intergenerational transmission of human capital and intergenerational transmission of poverty.It finds that,firstly,human capital is an important factor of poverty.Secondly,the parents’ human capital stock has a significant positive impact on children’s human capital stock in rural poor families.That means children in poor families will copy their parents’ human capital stock.Thirdly,children in poor families copy their parents’ poverty by copying their parents’ human capital stock,which causes intergenerational transmission of poverty.According to the study,this article proposes that the basic way to prevent intergenerational transmission of poverty is to increase the investment of human capital in poor families.Through education,skills training,widely coverage of medical insurance and rural spiritual civilization construction,rural poor families can get into the right track,and it will prevent intergenerational transmission of poverty,and guarantee a healthy and steady development of the society. |
