Study Of Coal Resource-Based Cities' Competitiveness Comparison

The development of economic globalization has not only promoted the regional economy, of which city is the core, but also contributed to the competition among cities. At present, China's national economy is in a good stage of rapid development, at this stage, the country still needs an adequate and stable guarantee of resource, so coal resource-based cities are still shouldering the important responsibilities, which are bound to play an irreplaceable role. However, our country's whole coal industry is still in the extensive growth way, the industrial concentration degree is low, the availability of resources is low, and the urban competitive power is still very small and so forth. All these deep-level questions can not be solved in a short time, drawing more and more attention from the society day by day. Thus, studying the comparative competitiveness of the coal resource-based cities, the paper contributes to finding the differences between various types of coal resource-based cities, acknowledginging the status of coal resource-based cities on the country level and advancing the healthy and orderly development of all types of coal resource-based cities.This paper studied the problem by using DEA of operation research theory, FA of statistical analysis methods, urban competitiveness theory, in order to establish the model of coal resources-based cities' competitiveness through deep analysis and studies. The chapters of the paper can be briefly generalized as follows:The study of the basic theory in coal resource-based cities' competitiveness. Studying the present situation of domestic and foreign coal resource-based cities and their competitiveness, the paper summarizes and analyzes related theories in coal resource-based cities'competitiveness.The building of the model of coal resource-based cities' competitiveness. Firstly the paper designs the frame of coal resource-based cities competitiveness comparison's index system and makes secific demonstrations to each index; Then the paper establishes the model of coal resource-based cities' competitiveness based on DEA and FA.The application of the model of coal resource-based cities' competitiveness. Firstly, the paper uses the model of coal resource-based cities' competitiveness based on DEA to compare and sort the comparative efficiency of 22 coal resource-based cities. Secondly, the paper uses the factor analysis to the changes of coal resource-based cities' competitiveness, and digs out the influencing factors for change of each city's competitiveness; Finally, the paper puts forward the way and method of promoting coal resource-based cities'competitiveness according to the status of different types of coal resource-based cities.
