Along with human activities continue to impact on the ecological environment, population, resources and environment are becoming increasingly apparent, thus problems about land-use change are also drawing more and more people's attention. Taking Fuxin City as the research object, this research combines the land-use change and socio-economic factors. By means of remote sensing, geographic information systems and technologies such as mathematical methods, using 1995, 2000 and 2005 received data, 3 TM satellite remote sensing images, the research accesses to dynamic change of land resource utilization data quickly and accurately. Based on analyzing the status of land use in Fuxin City, using land use change model, this paper makes an analysis on the land use change between 1995 and 2005 in Fuxin City to explore its change regularity. By application of factor analysis, this paper explores a land-use changes caused by major socio-economic driving factors, and it sums up the impact of land use changes by human activities. And finally it makes a prediction on the trend of land-use changes in 2010 and 2015. The results of this research provides scientific basis for the rational Fuxin City future land use and sustainable development. It also provides land use planning decision support for the local administration. It has a certain practical significance on the improvement of the ecological environment.
