Study On Peasant Pension Of Dashiqiao City

The issue how people live in the rural area after their retirements has direct affection on the sustainable development of Chinese agriculture and the public orders of the rural area. Accompanied with the implementation of the family planning policy, rural area with most of the Chinese elderly people has great tendency to small families. Meanwhile, the labor flow to urban area, the declining morality of the youth, has posed the great challenges to the traditional family-raise after-retirement life. Many elderly people complained that they couldn't get pension from their children or the national endowment insurance. This paper aimed to come out some solutions to solve this problem, through investigation conducted in the DaShi qiao City and draw lessons from foreign policies.According to the economic condition of DaShi qiao city, this paper has selected the towns Nan Lou and Shi Fo as the representatives in better and worse condition. We have found some problems through the investigation, with similarity and particularity. Firstly, the rural area lacked of financial support. Secondly, the rural area lacked of the medical security policy. Thirdly, the elderly people in the rural area lacked of both physical and emotional consideration. Finally, the rural area lacked of supports from the governmental policy. This paper analyzed the reasons to these problems, and came out some suggestions accordingly.
