Research On Government's Function In Construction Through The Airport Economy Of Huadu District

With the accelerated economic globalization, the flourish knowledge-based economy and the speed-up pace of international industrial transfer, the core of modern international airport economic will replace the core of traditional road, rail-way which was the major kind of economic competition in the past. Many countries and regions in the world regard the construction of the airport economy as a focal point and as the model of a regional economic engine to be developed. In August 2004, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, one of China's three major hub airports , was officially opened. That brings the airport economic into shape and makes it become an important part of economic development in Guangzhou. It also quickly transforms Huadu from the back garden to the living room in Guangdong. Meanwhile, with unique geographical advantages, it will promote the development of Huadu to a major change in strategy.This thesis research on the development of airport economy in Huadu of Guangzhou. With the style of problems and countermeasures, it details the feasibility and necessity of airport economic development of Huadu; it present the opportunities and challenges and the development status and the presence of problems; it discuss the function of local government in the role of airport economic construction, drawing on international experience and related academic research on airport economic development in Huadu. Through those methods, this thesis proposes solutions and measures of how to improve government's function in construction through the airport economy of Huadu.
