Lingang New City's Tourism Industry And Strategy Study

Lin Gang New City, which is located in the intersection of Yangze River and Hang Zhou harbour, connects Da Yang Shan and Xiao Yang Shan through East Ocean Bridge. It's an important "gate" for shanghai to be connected with its neighbouring islands and the key point for China's extensive'Coastal gateway'. As what is indicated in the civil plan, it will become the central functional area for Shanghai's costal transportation and the new national equipment manufacturing base with long term developing potentials and international competitiveness. Located in an area far from Shanghai city center, it has a long way to go to be known and recognized. So this is what I would talk about in my essay as how to stimulate the new city's multi-functionality such as accommodation, transportation, culinary and entertainment attractions by developing its tourism as a starting point.This essay will talk about the past development and current problems in Lin Gang New City's growing tourism industry.lt will specifically put emphasis on the followings:1) to study New City's current tourism resource using SWOT analysis 2) how would ecotourism help make an advantage in New City's tourism development 3) to study its touring volume by carrying out surveys 4) to develop other industries related to tourism.By studying and analysing above 4 aspects, I would give my advice and strategies to achieve the goal of attracting more tourism to Lin Gang New City, which are to strengthen the promoting and advertising of the city, building culinary centers with international culinary specialties, speeding up the development of hotels and other accommodations etc.
