With the development of the hotel industry, talents are getting more and more important. As the "half sky" of the society, woman takes a more prominent role in this industry. A lot of female workers develops from ordinary staff to medium-to-high-end managers, thus female's issue of career development gets mote and more concern.The purpose of this study was to explore career development and its affected factors of female managers in hotel. With the multiple cases of qualitative research and the semi-structured interview outline, the data was collected from the in-depth interviews. The researcher interviewed four female hotel managers. After the interviews, the content was transcribed from record to word processor files and analyzed. The study showed that:the parenting attitude of most female hotel managers presented an appearance of democracy; parents and teachers'expectations would affect female hotel managers'occupation directly or indirectly, besides, they had different working experience while studying at school; Female hotel managers should take more responsibility for upbringing their children, and their occupational selection relied mainly on their interest; the direction of female hotel managers' career development is diversified, working situation and occupational prestige would affect their job transition, and important others would affect female hotel manager's personality, attitude and valueThe paper can be divided into five parts:Part one:This part mainly introduces background information of choosing this topic, namely research intention and purpose, research method and procedure, term interpretation, research scope and limitation.Part two:This part summarizes the document and theory foundation of Hotel Female Manager and Career Development; Female Career development and its affected factors.Part three:This part mainly deals with study design and implementation. At the part, the researcher introduces the study design, study objects, study tools, besides, this part makes the cushion to implementation procedure and document analysis.Part four:This part is the main body of the paper, at first; the researcher introduces some individual cases, then the researcher introduces the Career Development of Hotel Female Managers and its affected factors based on content analysis.Part five:It is the last part of this paper, in this part, the researcher raised some findings and made a conclusion, besides, she also proposed some suggestions for reference.
