Hotel industry is one of the fastest growing industries, accompanied by China's rapid economic growth and prosperity of the tourism industry. In a market economy, the competition among hotels is the competition for talent. Who has a stable, high-quality staff, who will be able to grasp the fierce market competition, winning the golden key. However, the primary employees who are the important sustainer of a hotel's talent ,the situation of their career development is not so well.This study aim to research the career development of high-star hotel's primary employees from four aspects , such as individuals, organizations, society and family .First, from reviewing the career development research of the home and abroad, the study combs the home and abroad's career development of primary employees of Chinese hotel, and analyzes the situation and existing problems of their career development concretely.Secondly, the study dissects the influence factors of hotel primary employees'career development. From the four aspects of individuals, organizations, society and family, this study analyzes the influence factors of hotel'primary employees'career development. Meanwhile, it constructs the the conceptual model of influence factors.Thirdly, the study makes the facor analysis to the recovered data by quetionnaire and SPSS17.0, and extracts fourteen influence factors,such as individual characteristic, the leadership behavior, vocational training, professional reputation, external opportunities, job burnout, organizational support, external pressure, family support and other 14 factors which include the three dimensional of career development(stipend development, promotion development and capacity development). It also researches the correlation degree between the influence factors and career development' three dimension by correlation analysis.And finally, based on different demographic vriables, the study analyzes the the difference of each influence factor's importance degree evaluated by hotel'primary employees by using variance analysis and independent sample T test. The result shows: importance evaluation for some influence factors that influenced employees'career development are different amoung hith-star hotel primary employees with different gender, age, educational background, work departments, the lenth of organization,and the lenth of career .This study takes the career development of hotel'primary employees as study abject and research content, it has some innovations.To some extent, it enriches the human resource management theory in hotel industry ,and maybe it affords some guidance for hotel'human resource management.
