With the process of economic globalization and the deepening of knowledge, market environment become Unpredictable, community has be in an increasingly competitive, and technology innovation has become the core competitiveness of enterprises. Innovation is the key competitive advantage of a successful IT companies, and creating an atmosphere to support and encourage innovation has be a important means for enterprise to innovation and win the competition. Team is the basic unit of IT companies to capture R & D problems and maintain core competitiveness, Its innovation activities across the enterprise can not be ignored in the role play, So how to improve team climate for innovation has become one of the important issues that IT enterprises face. Team heterogeneity is the team's distribution of personal characteristics, and it is the team members' differences in gender, age, race, professional knowledge, values and personality. There are a lot of study about the relationship between Heterogeneity and Innovation at home and abroad, However, different results obtained in different industries. For the domestic IT companies, the study want to find the relationship between the R & D team' heterogeneity and team climate for innovation.On the basis of previous studies, this study selected five more mature team heterogeneity index, there are gender, age, team tenure, education, and professional education background; The dependent variable selected the five dimensions of team climate Inventory(TCI),there are Vision, participative safety, task orientation, support for innovation and Interaction frequency. According to the 124 valid questionnaires, this study did some statistical analysis, Including descriptive statistics, reliability and validity analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, and analysis of variance.The results show that:IT R & D team age heterogeneity, team tenure heterogeneity, and educational level heterogeneity have negatively related to team climate for innovation, the gender and professional educational background heterogeneity did not pass the significance test, although they showed some correlation with team climate for innovation. This study suggests that, there may be more and more equality between men and women in modern society, they are subjected to the same education and women are more and more independent; Professional education Heterogeneity is non-professional nature of heterogeneity,so it did not significantly impact on innovation.Based on the results of this study, I make recommendations to the IT R & D team:when form R & D team, we should Pay attention to the members selection to reduce the variety of background differences While controlling the number and size of the team; we should strive to create the team culture of unity and coordination, strengthen the learning team building and focus on the dynamic adjustment of R & D team.
