As an important means of service field, air passenger has always been an important research object by service marketing researchers. In recent years, with the rapid development of high-speed railway. China has entered into high-speed railway time, so railway has got more and more short airline passengers day by day, the substitution effect has been highlighted. Therefore, as the coming of high-speed railway, research on comepetitive advantage of airline company. has pressing practical significance.This article did research on competitive advantage of airline company from the customer value. Firstly, we describe the background and the significance of the article and recall the relative theories. secondly, we identified the research range of the thesis:400-1000 km, then we illustate that cusomer value is the direct source of competitive advantage through realistic research, then we constructed the airlines competitive advantage flow model. finally, according to the above modal, we developed ARCVAL that apply to airlines and high-speed railway. Then, we investigated customers' expectation and perception value who took airlines and railway in Shanghai by using ARCVAL form. Finally, we analysis the competitive advantage of Shanghai airline company accoding to importance and competitve matrix, finally we put forward competitive advantage strategy for Shanghai airline company.
